A digital (or data) projector is a device that takes a signal from a computer, TV or video source and produces a large image using projected light. Digital projectors are self-contained data projection units that have a light source, a lens, and at least one RGB (computer) input. While most are primarily used for computer-based presentations, many can also handle additional data sources such as VCR and DVD players.
It should come as no surprise then that projectors are moving from the office into the home! A digital projector allows a teacher or student a whole new dimension in how they share ideas, information, charts, images, animations, audio or video. A digital projector can show a large clear image that is visible from all parts of the classroom - it will be easy to read text so long as suitable font styles and sizes, and contrasting colors have been used. |
